This is an experimental, randomized-controlled clinical study, in which the effects of acupuncture and reiki will be evaluated in the treatment of individuals with symptoms of depression and in the tr
20 participants with problems resulting from substance use and with symptoms of depression in the experimental group who will have intervention with acupuncture and 20 participants with problems resul
40 participants with problems arising from the use of psychoactive substances and symptoms of depression who will test reiki, and another 40 who will test reiki, totaling 160 participants in the study

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Depression: both genders; aged over 18 years; minimum depression score at moderate level on the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale. Substance use disorder: both genders; aged over 18 years; minimum pattern of alcohol risk consumption by the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test; moderate problem in the consumption of other drugs by the Drug Abuse Screening Test

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Use of medication to treat symptoms of depression or anxiety or alcohol or other drug use; being undergoing psychological treatment; be performing any other alternative practice for the treatment of the symptoms to be treated in the study; not being present in at least six meetings out of the total of eight; refusal to receive the technique in which he was randomly included
