This is a blinded randomized controlled trial involving three investigators. The first researcher is responsible for recruitment and assessment, the second for randomization and systemic acupuncture,
Sham group (SG): volunteers with unilateral right stimulation at a false acupuncture point (E36 Sham), submitted to bilateral evaluation of EI and DC at points E34, E35, E36 Sham, E37 and E38
Acupuncture Group (AG): volunteers with acupuncture stimulation at rigth point E36, submitted to evaluation of EI and DC with the XS probe (depth 0.5mm) at points E34, E35, E36, E37 and E38. In order

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy volunteers; both genders; age between 18 and 38 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Fear of needles; pregnant women; women with delay in menstrual cycle longer than 28 days

Evaluate the effects of systemic acupuncture on the Electrical Impedance, using Ryodoraku, and Dielectric Constant, using MoistureMeterD, of the tibialis anterior muscle, where point E36 is located, in healthy subjects.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluate if the stimulation of the acupuncture point E36 is able to modify the Electric Impedance, using Ryodoraku, and Dielectric Constante, using MoistureMeterD, of the anterior tibial muscle of the contralateral lower limb.;Evaluate if the stimulation of the acupuncture point E36 is able to modify the Electric Impedance, using Ryodoraku, and Dielectric Constante, using MoistureMeterD, of the points Stomach 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 bilaterally.;Evaluate if the stimulation of the acupuncture point E36 is able to modify the Electric Impedance, using Ryodoraku, and Dielectric Constante, using MoistureMeterD, of the tibialis anterior muscle.
