Age
25 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 25 and 65 years. Both sexes. Presence of at least 12 teeth in the oral cavity, with at least 3 elements per hemiarch (excluding third molars). Diagnosis of Stage II or III Grade A periodontitis (bilateral periodontal pockets with Clinical Attachment Level (CAL) greater than or equal to 5mm)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Completely edentulous individuals. Pregnant and breastfeeding women. Regular use (for 14 days or more) of antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and immunosuppressants. Wearing fixed orthodontic appliances. Smokers. Presence of systemic alterations. Undergoing treatment for neoplasms

MeasureTime frame
This study aims to demonstrate the effect of using ozonized oil gel compared to using 1% chlorhexidine gel in the treatment of patients with stage II or stage III periodontitis, evaluating clinical parameters such as Plaque Index (PI), Bleeding on Probing (BOP), Probing Depth (PD), and Clinical Attachment Level (CAL), through statistical analysis.

MeasureTime frame
The aim is to evaluate whether ozonized oil gel associated with basic periodontal treatment will improve periodontal clinical parameters, as well as inflammation and growth factors in patients with stage II or III periodontitis, by measuring Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 (TGF-ß1) using the ELISA test, and quantifying absorbed Gingival Crevicular Fluid (GCF) in square millimeters using software.
