Forty patients with pre-perimetric to mild glaucoma, candidates to cataract surgery with intraocular lens implant, will be included. The study will include 2 parallel groups: one for monofocal intraoc

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Both gender; Open angle glaucoma and angle-closure glaucoma; cataract with surgical indication; intraocular pressure lower than 21mmHg, with or without medication use; visual acuity above light perception; mild glaucoma at functional and structural evaluation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Intraocular pressure above 21mmHg; high myopia or high hyperopia; axial length above 30mm or lower than 18mm; secondary glaucomas; macular diseases; central loss at visual field; need of antiglaucomatous surgery; use of oral acetazolamide

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected a higher contrast sensitivity in glaucoma eyes operated with monofocal intraocular than with monofocal-plus lens

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected a better far, intermediate and near visual acuity with monofocal-plus less than with monofocal lens
