Interventions

The intervention protocol was structured to be applied in two groups: Experimental Group (Multicomponent: GM) and Control Group: CG. Experimental group (GM): 30 climacteric women will perform a multic

2nd period: 5th to 8th week
3rd period: 9th to 12th week
and 4th period: 13th to 16th week. Progressions will be based on the complexity of the exercises and in the application of external loads. All exercises will be executed in 3 series (between 8 to 15 r

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women over 40 years of age living in the urban area of ??the municipality of Coari, in the state of Amazonas; positive climacteric symptoms for hot flushes and insomnia; presence of menstrual irregularity or amenorrhea; with or without the use of hormone therapy; preserved cognitive; no history of pituitary dysfunction, neurological diseases and vestibular disorders.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women with functional limitations, disabling pain or sequelae of diseases that interfere with the physical evaluation proposed in the study; volunteer who does not know her menstrual history which makes it impossible to determine the reproductive phase; voluntary user of psychotropic drugs such as anxiolytics, antidepressants or sedatives; volunteer who misses two consecutive sessions or more than three sessions over the 16 weeks of intervention.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find after applying the multicomponent exercise protocol through the Menopause Rating Scale instrument, reduction in indices of intensity and frequency of climacteric symptoms in participants in the multicomponent treatment group compared to the control group, using the comparison method with analysis of variance between individual scores and average of total scores between groups obtained in the pre and post intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that by reducing the intensity of climacteric symptoms, the variables evaluated in the pre and post intervention related to quality of life (Utian Quality of Life Scale), stress (cortisol level), sleep quality (Pittsburgh Questionnaire), functional capacity (6-minute walk test) and physical performance (Short Physical Performance Battery) indicate improvement indices, through the method of comparison with analysis of variance between mean scores (intergroup and between groups) obtained in the pre and post intervention according to the parameters of each instrument.
