Age
35 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Type 2 diabetic patients of both genders; age between 35 and 60 years; requiring extraction of erupted permanent teeth, either by simple alveolar techniques or complex open flap extractions; clinical and laboratory examinations performed to standardize the sample; fasting blood glucose levels between 110 and 250 mg/dl; glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) values up to 7.5%; controlled hypertension with an average blood pressure up to 150/100 mmHg

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: We did not include individuals who had used analgesic or anti-inflammatory drugs in the last 15 day Smokers Patients in use of antiresorptive drugs ? patients with renal insufficiency; a history of hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. chronic pain. neurological or psychiatric disorders; pericoronitis; or any other condition indicative of acute local infection or bisphosphonates at any time; were excluded; Smokers, pregnant women, individuals with a family history of photosensitivity; and those allergic to postoperative pain medications or anti-inflammatory drugs were also not included

Evaluate Socket repair by digital periapical x-ray images computed analysis cusing the "freehand drawing" tool in Image J software (NIH - USA) to assess the radiolucent area of the socket and the bone neoformation density between 7 , 30,60 days postoperative periods

Evaluate the mucosal socket repair after 7 days postoperatively by a digital image scale, pain levels through a visual analog scale applied in a diary in different timepoints at 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, and 48 hours of the postoperative period, edema measurements of anatomic face in Five linear measurements (mm) were taken: gonial angle to the tragus (Ag-Tr), gonial angle to the corner of the eye (Ag-Co), gonial angle to the edge of the nose (Ag-Nr), gonial angle to the labial commissure (Ag-Cl), and from the gonial angle to the tissue edge of the pogonion (Ag-Pg). before extraction and 7 days after extraction and mouth opening limitation through the differences between intermaxillary distance before extraction and before extraction and 7 days after extraction that will be provided with by digital caliper
