Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| It is expected to find a difference of -4 mmHg in home systolic and diastolic blood pressure, assessed by the oscillometric method, after a single session of breaking up sedentary behavior with isometric wall squat exercise, based on a statistically significant session and time interaction (P<0.05) | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| It is expected to find a 20% improvement in executive function, as assessed by the Stroop Test, after a single session of breaking up sedentary behavior with isometric wall squat exercise, based on a statistically significant session and time interaction (P<0.05);It is expeted to find a 20% improvement in cognitive flexibility, as measured by the Trail Making Test (Parts A and B), after a single session of breaking up sedentary behavior with isometric wall squat exercise, based on a statistically significant session-by-time interaction (P<0.05);It is expeted to find a 20% improvement in cardiac autonomic modulation, assessed by heart rate variability analysis, after a single session of breaking up sedentary behavior with isometric wall squat exercise, based on a statistically significant session-by-time interaction (P<0.05) | — |
