Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Individuals of both sexes; aged between 18 and 40 years; patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery scheduled during the data collection period
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Failure to attend the preoperative assessment session; initiation of the rehabilitation program more than three days after surgery; presence of injuries associated with anterior cruciate ligament rupture that prevent partial weight bearing during the first postoperative week due to medical indication or participant inability or unwillingness

| It is expected that the group that performed contralateral strength training will present greater maximal isometric strength of the knee extensor muscles, assessed by isometric dynamometry, compared with the control group after six weeks of intervention.
