Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Female patients; aged between 40 and 70 years-old; post-bariatric surgery; with stable weight for at least 3 months; presenting with complaints of rhytidosis and skin sagging in the face.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients previously submitted to facial surgery; implants or cosmetic procedures (either physical or chemical in the last 12 months); recent or uncontrolled clinical conditions (such as diabetes and hypertension); disorders of wound healing; autoimmune or collagen disorders; psychiatric conditions, smokers; patients in use of anticoagulant medications; corticosteroids; history of hypersensitivity to anesthesia; illiteracy.

| Expected outcome 2: Rhytidectomy surgery with plicature is expected to be better evaluated by an attending plastic surgeon in relation to the one without plicature in the post-bariatric patient.;Observed outcome 2: Patients in the intervention group received better scores for satisfactory aesthetic results, after evaluation by five attending plastic surgeons with more than 5 years of experience in the field.;Expected outcome 1: No significant difference in self esteem variation (pre and post-operative) is to be expected when comparing post-bariatric patients submitted to rhytidoplasty with and without superficial musculoaponeurotic system plicature. ;Observed outcome 1: There was no difference between control and intervention groups in regard to self-esteem variation before and after surgery. | — |
