Age
18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy volunteers; both genders which does not constitute a bias for this study; non-smokers; absence of dental caries; age between 18 and 60 years as they are adults; having 20 or more teeth in the oral cavity; presence of supragingival dental biofilm; presence of bleeding on probing; signing a free and informed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Smoker volunteers; those who have used antibiotics in the last 3 months; those who present clinically detected periodontitis by periodontal probing and radiographic examination (serial imaging); presence of soft tissue lesions in the oral cavity; patients who present sites with >=4mm probing depth; those who present teeth with extensive caries involving at least 10 teeth; holders of orthodontic devices; holders of ceramic or acrylic prostheses at least 10 dental crowns; patients who showed difficulties attending the clinic for periodic evaluations until the end of the study

A reduction in dental biofilm is expected using the Quigley-Hein plaque index method modified by Turesky;A reduction in bleeding on probing is expected when the North Carolina periodontal probe is used in the probing procedure
