the aim of the study will be to compare the effects of two volumes of strength training in water: 1- established by international recommendations (WHO)
and 2- below international recommendations. For that, 125 volunteers registered with the Sports Department of the Municipality of Praia Grande, over 60 years old, of both sexes, sedentary for at least
3- group of resistance training on land with a volume of 40 minutes/day (GTr40) and 4- terrestrial resistance training group with a volume of 20 minutes/day (GTr20)
5- Control Group (CG). The volunteers will perform two weekly strength training sessions in water and on land for 12 weeks with moderate-vigorous intensity, with two different volumes for each of the

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
to evaluate the effects of two volumes of training using exercise programs established by national and international recommendations (WHO); and below international recommendations, in two different types of moderate-vigorous intensity exercises (land and water resistance) hoping to find differences in the percentages of strength and cardiovascular capacity of the elderly

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the effects of each protocol and their adherence to the types of programs trained using quality of life, adherence and stress scale questionnaires in order to assess the expected change percentages in each group.
