Age
18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants of both sexes; age between 18 and 60 years; clinical diagnosis of refractory epilepsy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants with associated brain disease; hearing impairment; participation in another research study; inability to attend evaluation and intervention sessions

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the effect of Non-Periodic Binaural Acoustic Stimulation on the brain electrical activity of patients with epilepsy. The outcome will be assessed through electroencephalography (EEG) performed before and after the intervention. Changes in epileptiform activity and electroencephalographic parameters obtained from the EEG will be analyzed by comparing pre- and post-intervention results.

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate seizure frequency, quality of life, and cognition in participants after the intervention with Non-Periodic Binaural Acoustic Stimulation. The outcome will be assessed using the Seizure Diary, the Quality of Life in Epilepsy Inventory (QOLIE-31), and the Patient Global Impression of Change Scale (PGIS/PIGS). Reductions in seizure frequency, improvements in quality-of-life scores, and improvements in global perception of change will be analyzed by comparing post-intervention results with baseline assessments.
