Albendazole single-dose 400 mg tablet. large-scale deworming applications. The participants (505 women) in group 1 will receive albendazole after delivery and the participants (505 women) in group 2

1 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) deliver at Hospital Iquitos; 2) they are likely to reside in Iquitos or a neighbouring area for the next 24 months; and 3) they are able to communicate in Spanish

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) deliver multiples; 2) they deliver a stillborn or an infant with a serious congenital medical condition; and 3) they are transferred to another hospital prior to discharge.
