Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults and children aged =5 years and weighing >15 kg. Positive TST according to local guidelines or positive IGRA according to the manufacturer's criteria. Eligible for tuberculosis preventive treatment according to applicable national or WHO guidelines.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Active tuberculosis diagnosed before enrolment. Children aged <5 years. Weight <15 kg. Pregnant or breastfeeding women. Women of childbearing potential unwilling to use effective non-hormonal contraception during treatment. Previous treatment for tuberculosis infection or active tuberculosis. Baseline Grade 3 hematological abnormality (white blood cell count, platelet count, or hemoglobin). Contraindication to rifampicin or rifapentine. Prolonged baseline QT interval or contraindicated concomitant QT-prolonging medication. Household contacts of index tuberculosis patients with rifampicin or levofloxacin resistance.
