Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Type 2 diabetic patients aged 18 years and above diagnosed and on follow-up for at least three months. 2. Patients who had been on at least one oral glucose lowering medication for at least three months in the GOPC to enhance familiarity with prescribed medications. 3. Patients who consented to the study and signed the consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Type 2 diabetic patients who were unlikely to be available for the whole study period. 2. Patients who were too ill or required admission 3. A second member of a household in which a member had been included in the study to minimize contamination of participants.
