Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Any Patient above the age of 18 years old with metabolic associated fatty liver disease will be included in the study. The criteria for diagnosing metabolic dysfunction associated fatty liver disease are based on the identification of hepatic steatosis (detected by imaging techniques) in the presence of one of the following three metabolic disorders: A. Overweight or obesity: BMI> 25 Kg/M2. B. Type II Diabetes Mellitus. C. At least two out of seven of the below Metabolic deregulations in individuals who are non-obese or don’t have T2DM: i. Waist circumference > 102 cm in male and > 88 cm in females. ii. Pre-diabetic: HbA1c between 5.7% and 6.4%. iii. Blood pressure >130/85 mm Hg or specific treatment. iv. Plasma triglycerides > 150 mg/dl or specific lipid lowering treatment. v. Plasma HDL-cholesterol 2.5. vii. High sensitivity CRP >2mg/L.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with any other liver diseases rather than NAFLD as viral hepatitis, Wilson or autoimmune hepatitis. Patients recently exposed to any hepatotoxic drugs within 6 months will be excluded from the study. Patient refuse to be enrolled in the study. diabetic patient receiving pioglitazon
