Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primiparas/ Multiparous women(parity =1) Singleton pregnancy Cephalic presentation Gestational age =37 completed weeks, to 41 completed weeks and 3 days, confirmed by an early ultrasound scan Unfavorable cervix(cervical inducibility score <6) at admission Intact membranes at the time of cervical ripening Normal cardiotocography Provision of written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous caesarean section or uterine surgery Nulliparity Multiple pregnancy Non-cephalic presentation Placenta previa or unexplained antepartum hemorrhage Evidence of chorioamnionitis at admission Severe fetal growth restriction with abnormal doppler findings Contraindications to vaginal delivery or oxytocin use Known hypersensitivity to latex

MeasureTime frame
To compare the induction-to-delivery interval between parous women induced with early versus delayed amniotomy after Foley catheter ripening and immediate oxytocin infusion within the study period

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the rate of vaginal delivery within 24 hours of induction among parous women who undergo early versus delayed amniotomy after Foley catheter ripening and immediate oxytocin infusion.
