Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adults aged 18 years and above Patients scheduled for routine tooth extraction Patients with no known bleeding disorders Patients not on anticoagulants, an antiplatelet therapy or herbal agents affecting coagulation Socket free of acute infection requiring surgical intervention
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Need for surgical extraction, flap elevation or bone guttering Patients with uncontrolled hypertension Patients diagnosed with bleeding disorders or coagulopathies Patients who currently use anticoagulant/antiplatelet medication Patients who have allergy to tranexamic acid Inability or unwillingness to comply with 24-hour follow-up requirements
