Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ? Patients aged 2 months to17 years with positive blood smear based on manual microscopy ? Diagnosis of uncomplicated malaria ? Provision of informed consent/assent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Patient with negative blood smear. ? Patient with severe malaria ? Inability or unwillingness to provide informed consent ? Any significant acute comorbidity requiring urgent medical intervention

Measure	Time frame
PCR-corrected Adequate Clinical and Parasitological Response at Day 28 after intiation of Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy, measured by microscopy and PCR genotyping according to WHO antimalarial therapeutic efficay protocol.	—

Measure	Time frame
1. Early Treatment Failure - ETF, defined according to WHO criteria as development of severe malaria, danger signs, or parasitaemia on day 3 more than on Day 0 or fever with parasitaemia on day 1-3 after treatment initiation. 2. Late Clinical Failure-LCF, defined as the presence of fever more than 37.5 celsius degree with parasitaemia after Day 3 in patients without previous Early Treatment Failure- ETF.	—
