Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients who presented with rectal adenocarcinoma and were candidates for surgical intervention. patients older than 18 years of age at time of procedure.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Cancer invading adjacent organs (T4) - Distant metastasis (M1) - Severe concomitant disease that might limit compliance or completion of the protocol, any other malignancy, - Pregnant or breastfeeding females - Hereditary colorectal cancer and emergency operation.
