Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: a) Treatment naïve, i.e. has not received any psychotherapy before, including Friendship Bench services. b) Aged =18 years. Friendship Bench services are provided for adolescents, young adults and adults. This cohort study primarily focuses on outcomes in adults. c) Willingness to provide written informed consent and contact details for follow-up purposes. d) Intention to reside within the catchment area for up to five (5) months from the baseline data collection to facilitate follow-ups.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: a) Participants with confirmed high suicide risk b) Participants experiencing hallucinations and symptoms of psychosis c) Participants engaging in hazardous drug use as they will be referred for expert services
