Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women who gave birth to asphyxiated babies were included. All the health care providers working in selected facilities, available for training sessions, and consented to participate were eligible for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women carrying a lethal congenital anomaly and newborns with congenital malformations that interfered with the placement of the NeoBeat device were excluded from the study. Healthcare providers unavailable during the data collection period (due to annual leave or maternity leave) were excluded.
