Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Full-term newborns with gestational age between 38 and 40 completed weeks Postnatal age between 1 and 5 days Newborns undergoing routine heel-stick blood sampling No opioid or non-opioid analgesics received within 24 hours before the procedure Caregiver provided written informed consent Newborn fed at least 30 minutes before the procedure Newborn passed neonatal hearing screening
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Newborns with neurological disorders Newborns with congenital anomalies Newborns requiring more than one lancet prick for heel-stick sampling Newborns born to diabetic mothers
