Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: i. Adults aged 20–60 years. ii. Individuals diagnosed with dyslipidaemia (at least one of the following: elevated total cholesterol =200 mg/dL, elevated LDL-C =130 mg/dL, low HDL-C =40 mg/dL in men or =50 mg/dL in women, or triglycerides =150 mg/dL). iii. Individuals willing to provide informed consent. iv. Individuals willing to comply with study procedures throughout the intervention period.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: i. Individuals currently taking lipid-lowering medications. ii. Individuals with chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease (including hypertension), or renal disorders. iii. Individuals allergic to utazi leaves (Gongronema latifolium). iv. Pregnant or lactating women. v. Individuals who are sick at the time of enrolment. vi. Participants who start lipid-lowering medication during the study period.

MeasureTime frame
Change in serum lipid profile parameters (total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, and triglycerides) among adults with dyslipidaemia receiving Gongronema latifolium (utazi) leaf powder.

Change in Body Mass Index (BMI) of participants.;Change in Waist–Hip Ratio (WHR) of participants.
