Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants were eligible for the study if they: a) Had a confirmed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus b) Provided a signed written informed consent to participate in the study and abide by the rules of the study c) Were available to participate in the investigation for 6 months d) Were not less than 18 years of age f) Were on stable antidiabetic therapy for at least 3 months e) Had HbA1c of 6.5% and above

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants were excluded from the study if they: a) Had severe diabetes complications b) Had cognitive impairment or psychiatric illness affecting participation c) Had physical disabilities limiting participation d) Were pregnant or breast-feeding
