Measure	Time frame
The primary outcome indicator measuring the effects of the gender-transformative training approach was the frequency of husbands accompanying their pregnant women to antenatal care (ANC) visits and for skilled birth attendances (SBA). At both the pre-training and post-training assessments, respondents were asked during the current or most recent pregnancy of your wife, how many times did you accompany her to an antenatal care visit or skilled birth attendance. For pregnant women, the primary outcome was knowledge of birth preparedness and complications. The questionnaire measured knowledge of birth preparedness and complications by asking the participants questions about the danger signs of pregnancy and childbirth, and resources needed when preparing for childbirth.	—
