Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Sixty patients aged =65 years scheduled for surgical management of proximal femoral fractures were included. Eligibility criteria were American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I–III, ability to understand and use the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) for pain assessment, and eligibility for spinal anesthesia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included refusal to participate, known allergy to local anesthetics, coagulation disorders, peripheral neuropathy affecting the lower limbs, infection at the injection site, and contraindications to spinal anesthesia.
