Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients aged 18 years or older Patients were scheduled for elective surgery, Patients able to provide informed consent, Patients had no severe cognitive impairment or psychiatric disorders.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients undergoing emergency surgery, Patients with prior exposure to anxiety-reducing interventions, Patients receiving anxiolytic medication in the preoperative period.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
level of preoperative anxiety, assessed using the Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS) AT Baseline (T0) and immediately before anesthesia induction (T1)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
physiological parameters such as blood pressure and heart rate, postoperative outcomes comprising pain intensity scores, analgesic consumption, and recovery time, as well as patient-reported satisfaction measured through the E-SATIS survey.
