Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: hemodynamic stability (systolic blood pressure = 100 mmHg, heart rate < 110 bpm without vasopressor support) mild to moderate intra-abdominal collection non-progressive sanguineous drain output < 100 mL/h hemoglobin decline < 3 g/dL over 24 hours absence of intraluminal bleeding manifestations such as hematemesis or melena. Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: hemodynamic instability (systolic blood pressure 100 mL/h hemoglobin drop > 3 g/dL within 12 hours large or loculated collections requiring open drainage bleeding disorders therapeutic anticoagulation conversion to open surgery associated visceral injury.
