Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients aged 20 – 80 years with trochanteric and subtrocanteric fractures. 2) Males and females. 3) CPT codes/ AO classification /diagnosis for trochanteric and subtrochanteric fractures in the years 2017-2023. 4) The patient must have follow up X-rays till reaching 1 of the following 3 endpoints: a. Union b. Revision of fixation due to non-union c. Revision of fixation due to metal failure

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Follow up X- rays from revision surgeries. 2) Revision due to cause other than nonunion eg infection, osteoarthritis, periprosthetic fracture etc… 3) Patients diagnosed with malignancy or have past history of malignancy 4) Patients with bone defects more than 2 cm on presentation.
