Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1-Patients scheduled for hip fractures surgeries: (fixation of fracture neck femur, intertrochanteric fractures and subtrochanteric) such as dynamic hip screw DHS and proximal femur nailing PFN. 2-American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status (ASA) grades I, II. 3-Age group 20 and older. 4-Both genders.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: -Patient refusal. -Contraindication to neuro-axial block. -Neuromuscular diseases (as myopathies, myasthenia gravis, etc.) -Hematological diseases, bleeding or coagulation disorder, hemoglobin level below 9mg/dl. -Psychiatric diseases, addiction. -Local skin infection at site of the block. -local anesthetic sensitivity. -Multiple trauma patients. -Unstable cardiovascular condition. -Diabetic neuropathies. -In case of conversion of spinal anesthesia to general anesthesia.
