Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: INCLUSION CRITERIA 1. Patients with clinical findings and previous spirometry results consistent with the diagnosis of bronchial asthma who had been on medications for at least 1 month 2. Male and female patients with asthma aged 18 to 70 years 3. Patients with asthma who provided informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with COPD, asthma-COPD overlap, or other respiratory conditions 2. Patients with asthma who were pregnant 3. Patients who had a recent abdominal or thoracic surgical procedure 4. Patients who were unable to perform spirometry 5. Patients with asthma who were febrile, critically ill or had an active chest infection
