Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: i. Women who are 18 years and above who are scheduled for elective CS under spinal anaesthesia ii. American Society of Anaesthesiologists’ physical status I or II
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: i. Known allergy to steroids ii. Pre-existing chronic pain disorder (like patients with haemoglobinopathy, arthritis) iii. Chronic use of steroids (more than 2 weeks within the preceding 3 months) iv. Peptic ulcer disease v. Coagulopathy vi. Psychiatric illness vii. Diabetes mellitus viii. History of glaucoma ix. Use of corticosteroids or opioids within 24 hours before surgery
