Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients with ventral hernia (defect width = 10 cm, corresponding to W3 in the European Hernia Society (EuraHS) , needed hernioplasty, males and females aged 18 to 75 years were enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: <18 years old. • Unfit for anesthesia according to American society of anesthesia class III, IV. • Pregnant females. • Psychologic disorders and cognitive disorders. • Unwilling for follow up.
