Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Child is between 6-60 months • Child presents with complicated SAM, defined as children with a MUAC<115 mm or WHZ<-3 or presence of bilateral pitting oedema along with medical complications, loss of appetite, or other signs necessitating inpatient care and is admitted into the stabilization center. • The child has a caretaker that consents to the interview process
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Child is below 6 months or above 60 months in age • Child does NOT present with complicated SAM, defined as children with a MUAC<115 mm or WHZ<-3 or presence of bilateral pitting oedema along with medical complications, loss of appetite, or other signs necessitating inpatient care and is admitted into the stabilization center. • The child has a caretaker that does NOT consent to the interview process.
