Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: men at least 50 years of age with an International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) =13, prostate volume 30 cc to 80 cc maximum urinary flow rate (Qmax) of =15 mL/s measured postvoid residual (PVR) urine <250 ML, patients presented with acute urinary retention and have urethral catheter applied for them for long time with multiple comorbidities preventing TURP or other modalities of prostate adenoma removal.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: men with a PSA >2.5 ng/mL with a free PSA <25% unless prostate cancer was ruled out by biopsy, Men with an active urinary tract infection.
