Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: 1)Thrombocytopenia < 100 X 10/L. 2) Normal peripheral blood smear. 3)Acute ITP is defined as ITP of less than 6 months’ duration 4) if the duration of ITP is more than 6 months, it is defined as chronic ITP.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: Other known causes of thrombocytopenia during pregnancy include 1-gestational thrombocytopenia 2-preeclampsia 3-HELLP syndrome (hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelets), and sepsis.

he primary outcomes evaluated in this study were: Maternal Platelet Counts: Specifically, the platelet count during pregnancy and, most importantly, at the time of delivery. A Fetal and Neonatal Composite Outcome: This is a combined measure of the following serious adverse events: Stillbirth Preterm birth before 34 weeks of gestation Low birth weight (babies weighing less than 2.5 kg) Neonatal Platelet Counts: The platelet count in the newborn, measured at birth (via cord blood) and on day 3 (via venipuncture).

MeasureTime frame
Maternal complications during antenatal, delivery, and post-partum periods (e.g., bleeding, pre-eclampsia). Types of treatment received (steroids, IVIG). Mode of delivery (vaginal vs. cesarean section). Specific neonatal complications like NAITP (Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia) and ICH (Intracranial Hemorrhage).
