Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ? Adults aged 18-70 years . ? Stable end stage renal disease patients on maintenance hemodialysis for more than or equal to 3 months. ? Stable end stage renal disease patients on hemodiafiltration (HDF) for more than or equal to 3 months. ? Stable early post-renal transplant patients (3-12 months post transplantation). ? Compliant patients.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Patients with active infection or inflammation. ? Patients with untreated hepatitis C virus (HCV) or hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. ? Patients with active rejection post-renal transplantation. ? Patients with decompensated medical conditions (e.g;history of frequent exacerbations of congestive heart failure or obstructive lung disease). ? Patients with malignancy.
