Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Age =18 years. • Patients are diagnosed with bilobar hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). • Radiologically and/or histologically confirmed HCC involving both hepatic lobes. • Planned combined surgical resection and intraoperative microwave ablation (MWA) with curative intent. • Preserved liver function (Child–Pugh class A or B). • The Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of 0–2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Presence of extrahepatic metastases or major vascular invasion. • Prior liver transplantation. • Cases planned for palliative treatment only. • Inability or refusal to comply with follow-up protocols.
