Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 18 years and over 2. Patients newly diagnosed as Primary open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension 3. Patients with elevated intraocular pressure greater than 21mmHg( an average of 3 readings taken on 3 different clinic visits) 4. Patients categorized as early or moderate primary open angle glaucoma ( cup to disc ratio 0.5 to 0.7, visual field analysis MD-6dB to -12 dB) 5. Patients who agree to participate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. A prior medical, surgical or laser treatment for glaucoma 2. Patients diagnosed as primary congenital glaucoma 3. Advanced glaucoma ( cup to disc ratio 0.8 or greater, visual field analysis MD more than -12dB 4. Patients with media opacities such as cloudy cornea, cataract vitreous haemorrhage 5. Patients with history of ocular trauma or uveitis 6. Pregnant and lactating women

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Percentage intraocular pressure reduction from baseline. Assessment of treatment side effects. Secondary out come will be health related and vision related quality of life of patients.
