Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The patients were diagnosed as having hemiplegia due to stroke. Pain and limited ROM in the shoulder on the hemiplegic side. Patient with age ranges from 18-65 years from both sexes. Shoulder pain with a minimal score of 4 point or more on a pain visual analog scale (VAS). Ability to understand the Arabic language. Patients are conscious, well cooperated, and willing to be enrolled in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with aphasia or who could not express their pain intensity. History of trauma, surgery or previous injection in the involved shoulder. Pain or limited ROM in the affected shoulder prior to stroke onset. Skin infection at the site of injection. History of allergy to injection agents (local anesthetics or steroids). Uncontrolled neurological or medical condition.
