Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Primigravidae with no known medical condition or disability that precludes physical exercise • No contraindication to vaginal delivery • Gestational age 37 weeks • Singleton pregnancy • Primigravidae within reproductive age bracket (15-49 years) • Availability and ability to use a smartphone

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Previous delivery • Multiple gestations • Medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart diseases • Contraindications to vaginal delivery such as contracted pelvis, placenta previa • Previous uterine surgery such as myomectomy • Cervical cerclage

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The gestational age of onset, and duration of labour.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The need for augmentation of labour, need for episiotomy and, mode of delivery. The APGAR scores in the 1st and 5th minutes, and need for NICU admission for the neonates.
