Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Confirmed diagnosis of ß-thalassemia major Age 5-40 years Regular follow-up at thalassemia clinic =1 year Stable transfusion regimen (1 transfusion every 4-6 weeks, past 6 months) Consent obtained from participant or guardian

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Recent malignancy or chemotherapy (past 12 months) Other chronic hematologic diseases Active/chronic infections or autoimmune diseases Bone marrow transplant or stem cell therapy history Use of antioxidant supplements (past 3 months) Pregnant or breastfeeding females Poor venous access or refusal to provide blood sample
