Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged 5–16 years diagnosed with acute uncomplicated appendicitis ASA physical status I–II Informed consent obtained from parents/guardians

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Complicated appendicitis (perforation, abscess, peritonitis) Previous abdominal surgeries Obesity (BMI > 95th percentile for age) Known bleeding disorders or contraindications to laparoscopy Patients converted to open surgery

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Postoperative pain (Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale for ages 5–8, Visual Analog Scale (VAS) for children =8 years); Cosmetic (aesthetic) satisfaction using Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS) and Parental Scar Satisfaction Questionnaire (5-point Likert scale).
