Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of both sexes, ASA physical status I and II, aged from 18 to 60 years old, and scheduled for elective spinal fixation surgeries will be included in this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with any of the following will be excluded from the study: Refusal of a written consent, Ischemic Heart disease,Uncontrolled hypertension,Other cardiac, hepatic, or kidney diseases, Cerebrovascular insufficiency, Glaucomatous eye ,Pregnancy and lactation.,Coagulation disorders,Anemia (Hb < 10 g/dL).,Drug or alcohol abuse., Allergy to any of Dexmedetomidine or Labetalol, History of beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, Tricyclic antidepressants, anticoagulant or clonidine intake

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Surgical field visibility by Fromm and Boezaart scale.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcomes: Hemodynamics: Mean Blood Pressure (MAP) and Heart Rate (HR), Cardiac output is measured by cardiometry, Need for vasopressors, Intraoperative Blood loss ,Extubation time (time from switching off anesthesia till extubation),Sedation score postoperatively ,Surgeon satisfaction, Any adverse effects.
