Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • All recent corrosive ingestion (from 2 to 6 months). • Both genders (Males and Females). • Any age (from 1 year to 14 years).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Old corrosive ingestion (dating more than 6 months). • Steroid injection patients. • Cases who performed surgery. • Corrosive ingestion with complications such as fistulas, perforation or gastric outlet obstruction. • Refusal to participate in the study.

MeasureTime frame
1- To determine effect of honey on healing the caustic effect of corrosives on gastrointestinal tract tissues (esophagus). 2- To compare outcome of the use of oral honey with standard treatment including PPI and antacids following dilatation sessions by endoscopy versus conventional standard treatment alone following dilatation sessions including PPI and oral antacids
