| Sternal dehiscence, defined as separation of sternal halves by more than 2 mm within 30 days, was confirmed clinically and radiographically. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| postoperative pain assessed by the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) within 72 hours, sternal closure time from first to last wire twist, duration of mechanical ventilation, vasoactive inotropic score (VIS), postoperative bleeding during the first 24 hours, and ICU and total hospital stay durations.
