Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1- Adult patients of both sexes Age =18. 2- Patients with a traumatic rib fracture presenting within 24hour of injury 3- Patients with an imaging-confirmed diagnosis of rib fractures.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1- Traumatic patients without rib fractures. 2- Patients with non-traumatic rib fractures. 3- Patients with sub-acute, healed, or chronic rib fractures

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome of interest are: incidence of ICU admission, early acute pain management and mechanical ventilation >48 h.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcomes include: pain management efficacy, ICU Length of Stay, hospital LOS >7 days, and in-hospital mortality.
