Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Adults aged more than 18 years. - Clinical and endoscopic diagnosis of nasal polyposis. - Scheduled for endoscopic sinus surgery. - Ability to perform olfactory testing. - Provided informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - History of previous sinus surgery. - Olfactory loss due to other causes (e.g., trauma, neurodegenerative disease). - Nasal tumors or systemic granulomatous diseases. - Uncontrolled asthma or severe systemic illness.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in olfactory function score measured using (choose one: Sniffin’ Sticks / UPSIT / CCCRC test) from baseline to 3 months postoperative. Time Frame: 3 months post-surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Change in olfactory function score at 6 months post-surgery. 2. Correlation between preoperative polyp grade (e.g., Lund-Kennedy / Lund-Mackay score) and olfactory recovery. 3. Patient-reported olfactory-related Quality of Life scores pre- and post-surgery.
