Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients (=18 years) undergoing partial or total thyroidectomy Diagnosed with benign or low-risk malignant thyroid disorders Fit for general anesthesia Provided written informed consent to participate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous neck surgery or radiotherapy

Measure	Time frame
Total operative time (from skin incision to closure), time taken for dissection and haemostasis, intraoperative blood loss (measured by suction volume and swab weight), and surgical field clarity (surgeon’s subjective assessment).	—

Postoperative complications (pain assessed by VAS scale, drain output and duration until removal, incidence of postoperative haematoma/bleeding, re-exploration rate, transient or permanent hypocalcaemia, RLN function assessment, wound complications including seroma/infection/delayed healing, length of hospital stay).	—
